Choirs
Charnwood Community Singers meet in Leicestershire, in the Charnwood area and beyond!
The choirs rehearse weekly in term time. Each choir learns similar repertoire and the choirs often join together for performances. Once you are a member of Charnwood Community Singers, you can attend any of the choir rehearsals as a guest, in addition to you home choir. This means you can catch up on missed sessions, attend extra rehearsals and meet singers from all around the area.

The choirs are led by Caroline, a choir leader who has a gift for encouraging those who lack confidence in their singing to find their voice. She currently leads the Caroline Sharpe Singers – a mixed voice choir based in Loughborough, the Belvoir Wassailers – male voice choir, and the Shuttlewood Singers, as well as Charnwood Community Singers. Caroline trained as an operatic soprano at Birmingham Conservatoire where she completed with distinction her Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Performance. She won the Mario Lanza Opera prize, and when not singing opera is the vocalist with Chris Hill Jazz.
